De Martino, elected Winery of the Year 2011 by The Association of Wines of Chile, is the first and only carbon neutral winery in Latin America, and also the first and unique in the world to generate carbon credits.
The latest technology combined with a proud family tradition, have allowed De Martino wines to compete among the best in Chile. The vineyard offers great professional service and has created the first tasting room in the region, where you can enjoy their excellent and innovative wines.
Don Francisco Undurraga was one of the pioneers of winemaking in Chile and founder of Undurraga Winery. With plants he brought over personally from France and Germany, he developed the first vineyards in the Fundo Santa Ana in the heart of the Maipo Valley.
You will have the opportunity to see the marvelous park that dates back to the 19th century, designed by the famous French landscapist, Pierre Dubois, passing on to the modern wine making plant, and then on to the unique experience of visiting the "romantic" underground cellars that date back to 1885. The tour culminates with a delicious and interesting tasting of three Reserve wines, specially selected by Undurraga winemakers.
This tour is available from Monday through Saturday at 09:00 or 14:00 hs. (hotel pick-up time)
